AOHR condemns the Magdeburg attack
The Arab Organization for Human Rights (AOHR) #AOHR condemns the run-over incident that took place in the city of Magdeburg on the evening of Friday, December 20, 2024, which resulted in the deaths and injuries of dozens of people who were among those gathered in a popular market at the start of the Christmas celebration week.
Although it is still too early to assess the incident, its motives and causes, the #AOHR affirms its solidarity with the families of the victims, and emphasizes its rejection of terrorism regardless of its motives and purposes, and urges the perpetrators to be held accountable and prevent their impunity.
The #AOHR calls on the German authorities to take the necessary measures to prevent the far-right forces from exploiting this incident to commit violations against people of Arab and Muslim origins.
